Doug Martsch is a guitar god. However, I didn't really appreciate him until seeing B2S (yeah, that's my cool shorthand) live in 2002. "Stop The Show" is from their essential Perfect From Now On album from 1997. This live video with mostly tight shots of the guitars is very interesting.

Hey unrelated comment, but I found your post on worst pretentious indie crap, and I couldn't agree more with just about all of them.
The biggest offender on the list is the insufferable Man Man from Philadelphia. I am so f'n sick of bearded super groups. The front guy of MM is the biggest pretentious prick on the planet.
And a major hear hear to your opinion of Ys. Joanna Newsom sounds like a toddler being put in a blender. I would rather listen to Florence Foster Jenkins that this talentless harpie. The only thing worse than listening to her is listening to one of her fans act like they know something special because they pretend to like this hideous crap.
